With over 3 decades of entertainment experience, we have provided clients a one-of-a-kind experience at our two spectacular event spaces. We have two successful locations (E. Hanover and Paramus) and we are going strong. Powerhouse Studios and Entertainment is the leader in the event industry and they offer the best quality entertainers and interactive shows in the country.
Within the past few years, we’ve added in-house catering, photography, and video services. Powerhouse is now completing a full East Hanover Newly Renovated Studio renovation of their East Hanover location, and will be expanding the Paramus facility in 2011.
Despite the economy, 2009 was our most successful year-to-date. While many others have tried to open event facilities, no one has been able to match the success and longevity of Powerhouse. We are also unveiling our newly renovated Bar & Lounge Area “Hollywood & Vine”. - First & foremost give great customer service
- Keep the facility clean & well maintained
- Re-model every few years and add new decor and attractions frequently
- Be unique, never copy form other places.
- Set yourself apart from other party spaces, create your own niche
- Give your customers value for their money, make it affordable.
- Make it easy for your client, try to provide everything they need under one roof, offer all-inclusive packages.
- Give your customers an incentive to come back again.
If you really want to impress your clients, throw something in or give them a service that’s totally unexpected. For instance, if your event space is known for their entertainment and not the food & people think that the food is just going to be ok, and then you blow them away with awesome food, that’s going to give your visitors something to really talk about.
Top 10 helpful tips when planning a party…

1 ) Always deal with reputable people. We suggest that you choose companies with 10 years or more experience in the business and with all the right credentials.
2 ) If you are flexible on your date and time, you may be able to get a better deal.
3 ) When making decisions on entertainment and party venues don’t always go with the cheapest price. Sometimes saving a few dollars in the beginning will cost you in the long run.
4 ) Always try to keep in contact with your sales representatives. Check in a few times before your event and make sure you get a face to face meeting with your catering facility to iron out all the final details. This helps to have a more coordinated event.
5 ) Don’t go crazy interviewing dozens of event people and places. Pick 2-3 from each needed service and narrow it down from there. Meeting too many vendors will only confuse you and can cloud your decision making.
6 ) There are some unique locations available to hold your party. The days of the traditional black tie or country club neighborhood catering hall is becoming less popular. People are looking for something different. Have an open mind and a great imagination. Try to think out of the box and you’ll be surprised of the results.
7 ) A recommendation from family and friends or being a guest at a party, and seeing it first hand is a great way to help make your choices.
8 ) Once you have selected your date and time you should then choose your location, pick your entertainment, then take a few months off, then continue interviewing and hiring other services. You should plan at least a year in advance so you have time to space out the planning.
9 ) We highly suggest keeping a planning journal. It will help you to be more organized and taking good notes will help you with the planning process.
10 ) The day of your party, don’t be stressed. Hire professionals and enjoy the party. I f something goes wrong, don’t flip out! As long as the overall party is a success then that’s what matters!
