) Always deal with reputable people. We suggest that you choose companies with 10 years or more experience in the business and with all the right credentials.

) If you are flexible on your date and time, you may be able to get a better deal.

) When making decisions on entertainment and party venues don’t always go with the cheapest price. Sometimes saving a few dollars in the beginning will cost you in the long run.

) Always try to keep in contact with your sales representatives. Check in a few times before your event and make sure you get a face to face meeting with your catering facility to iron out all the final details. This helps to have a more coordinated event.

) Don’t go crazy interviewing dozens of event people and places. Pick 2-3 from each needed service and narrow it down from there. Meeting too many vendors will only confuse you and can cloud your decision making.

) There are some unique locations available to hold your party. The days of the traditional black tie or country club neighborhood catering hall is becoming less popular. People are looking for something different. Have an open mind and a great imagination. Try to think out of the box and you’ll be surprised of the results.

) A recommendation from family and friends or being a guest at a party, and seeing it first hand is a great way to help make your choices.

) Once you have selected your date and time you should then choose your location, pick your entertainment, then take a few months off, then continue interviewing and hiring other services. You should plan at least a year in advance so you have time to space out the planning.

) We highly suggest keeping a planning journal. It will help you to be more organized and taking good notes will help you with the planning process.

) The day of your party, don’t be stressed. Hire professionals and enjoy the party. I f something goes wrong, don’t flip out! As long as the overall party is a success then that’s what matters!
